Which do you prefer shaving or a depilatory?

Okay I want to shave my legs I am 12 but I am hairy. SO.... I am going to buy some dollar store brand shaving cream and I have the Gillette Embrace Disposable Razor. I am going to do that because I don't have enough money to buy a depilatory so I am going to shave for a while then I will buy the depilatory.My question is will it come back harder because I heard that when you shave it comes back harder but a depilatory dissolves it so while it still come back harder????
