Will my black ghost knife eventually learn to come out during the day?
I'm experienced with Brown Ghost Knifefish, a very close relative to the Black Ghost, which also has the same care requirements. The thing with oddball fish like knifefish is that each one has a different personality. My old Brown Ghost, Clyde, only came out during the day, and only ate flake food, turning down even bloodworms. Your Knife may never come out of hiding, but he may just need a little time. These are very unpredictable fish. One method to try and get him out is to feed him during the day, and possibly even trying to interact with him by hand feeding. Sorry for the long response, just doing my job.
