CRT TV are just about obsolete. It is not true that a CRT picture is better than the flat-screen picture. The only quality that is better in CRTs is black levels. In all other respects, LCD and plasma are better: Higher resolution, no scanning artifacts, lower power consumption, etc. Do not be fooled by CRT sets that say "1080i" resolution. They may handle that signal electronically, but no consumer-lever CRT can display 1080 lines.
