In Alabama, can a company accept more than 1 earnest money check on the same property??

I am from IL but I don't see the problem with it. The earnest money is given usually at the time the offer is made not after it is accepted anyway so if the offer isn't accepted it is returned, if it is accepted you got the earnest money in place. I don't see the conflict.
