Am I way too late in getting workman's comp?

My very first day at my job about two years ago I was injured, here is what happened...I was about 10 minutes into my first day at a tile shop and was asked to remove some tile sample boards(heavy suckers) off of a display, place them on a cart and bring them to the warehouse, well I didnt know the handle on the cart was loose and I lifted up on it causing it to come out of the slots holding it in place and down came about 10 tile boards onto my unprotected foot. It being my first day and scared of any reprocussions I decided I wouldnt say anything and just shake it off because in a few days it would probably be fine. Unfortunetly since that day my foot has gotten increasingly worse. Im thinking I need some medical attention on it not only because since then when ever something hits it it hurts so bad I cant breath for a few seconds and it has a dull ache to it constantly but then last night when it started aching really bad and popping(the bones) a lot. What can I do?
