Why is soccer not very popular in the USA?

Why is it not as good as the greatest game ever played - football? Why are soccer players such pu55ie5? What's wrong with a game that bores the pants off you? Why do football players think it prudent to wear padding when 300lb giants are running at you full-speed? Why can't they be manly like soccer players who dive to the ground as soon as someone comes near them?
