Senior citizens- Why do so many senior citizens feel a sense of entitlement?

I deal with the public and I am much nearer to 60 than 50. I notice that senior citizens lead the leaguye in complaining about things like noise like someone playing music or talking and laughing. It seems like they have forgotten what it was like to be young, full of life and trying to enjoy yourself. If a road is closed they complain that they have to take a detour. I think we should make a few allowances for the younger people who are working and making sure our Social Security doesn't go broke( as soon, anyways) or get voted out.I may not like somebodies music or the fact that they are having a card party next door, but in the long run who is it hurting.
