To be honest, I'm not vegan but am ovo-lacto. I have read The Kind Diet and it's a really good book. I will say though that there is a lot in there you probably already know about animal cruelty, health, and eating habits. It was one of the first books I read when I stopped eating meat. It was a very easy read, I think I did it in two days, and it gives a lot of insight on becoming vegan. If you don't want a heavy script and want some interesting recipes, I'd go ahead and get it.
