Do I have melanoma or am I just overreacting?

I've been tanning at a salon for about a year now with no problems. This winter I was too lazy/cold to go to tanning for a little over a month, so my tan basically faded. I finally went tanning last thursday, I didn't burn at all & everything was fine. I went last night again, and everything seemed fine until this morning, my arm was itching like crazy & when i looked at it, two of my freckles (which were previously flat) were raised up and they were the source of the itching. I googled around & found out about melanoma, and pretty much I'm now freaking out! I stopped itching the area and they slowly flattened out & are almost completely flat now, and not itching... so I'm very confused now. Should I still be worried? Should I still make a doctors appointment? Thanks! :]
